Pacing calculations in Google Docs/Excel

Pacing lab calcs

Here's the pacing lab done in Google Docs. This can also be done in excel using the same formulas. All students at Chabot have free access to Excel by registering in Office 365 as a student.

What's google docs/excel?

These are spreadsheets; There are a lot of tutorials on how to use Google Docs (by Google) and Excel (by Microsoft). But try seeing if you understand it yourself by playing around with it.

For example: Making Percent Error

If you click anywhere in the spreadsheet, you can start typing numbers, text, etc. And if you want to start a formula, you start writing with the = sign. Below is the formula for calculating the percent error (before it's multiplied by 100).

You can make averages (=AVG) or even write it out yourself (Cell 1 + Cell 2) / 2.

Click around and experiment, and check out this tutorial if you want more help.
